Qingchun is over!

Both happy and sad about that but overall I'm really glad that we put up a kickass show not only as wudao but as CS :) Especially so since we progressed so much from the first rehearsal (omg nightmarish) haha and especially the dances really showed improvement :) And xin ku ni men le, houtai grps! Ok and I'm also relieved because I don't have to nag and shout at you dancers anymore LOL.

Anyway:

Good job my dear lovely dancers!! :D :D I hope you all feel equally content with our performances that night because I know I do! All our hard work these tiring months really paid off and I'm glad to see (from the videos) that most of you really made the effort to smile, and before fuchi some of you even tried to cry. So our biaoqing session paid off yeah~ Although there were some mistakes and some unfortunate stuff that happened, such things are part and parcel of performance and there is no hard and fast rule to preventing them. You all really did well in overcoming the situations :) E.g. yuhan in xuelianhua!

I was really touched to see most of the year 3s being so sad about the year4s leaving (wts esp that stupid crying amanda hahaha) and it made me - and I'm sure the other y4s also- feel very loved. And thank you dancers for your notes as well!

I'm very proud of my adorable year1s as well haha you all really proved yourselves to be just as good as your seniors and you're cuter than all of them as well heheheh!

Once again, well done dancers, and enjoy your well-deserved break! :D

BUT this time, the tears werent cos of disappointement. but more of cos i felt strongly for what she have said!GO READ!

and also our senior, Huishi (whom i dunno who. oops!)'s tag. many years down the road, what we r gonna remember r the memories we have with each other. The results r just a moment a glory.

Of and also, i personally feel that crying is perfectly alright. what's important is picking yourself up. One perfect example is of cos, me, the water tap. HAHA i seriously seriously can tear easily. almost teared during PC lesson while my frens came up to share about who they wanna thank and apologise to. dats kinda dumb but ya.. cry all you want but stand up after that :D

To my dear juniors, its inevitable to feel sad, as you all have relly worked very hard for the SYF. However, it's the effort and the process that relly counts. What you've learnt, how you've matured within this past year is the most important thing of all.

10, 50 years down the road, people probably will not be able to remember what DHSCS Wudao got for SYF in 2009. However, the lessons learnt and hardships shared will not be forgotten by any of you.

I'm proud to see that many of you have improved relly alot within the past year, both expression-wise and ganqing-wise. It's relly heartening to see wudao improve in leaps and bounds. Your hardwork has shone through, and it has made all of you all better dancers. You all have the people around you, and yourself to thank. Don't feel sad, feel proud of yourself. Even with all the gruelling training, yall didn't give up, and that is relly something to be proud of.

Doing your best on-stage is enough. At least you know that you've done yourself proud, you've done CS proud, you've done the school proud. Even if the "Gold" doesn't come "with honours", it doesn't matter. At least, all of you didn't leave the stage with regrets, and reflect on how you could've worked harder, could've practiced more, could've stretched harder. You have done your best, and essentially, that is all that matters.

SYF does not reflect on the capability of the wudao group. It does not reflect the hardwork, sweat, and toil that are behind the scenes. It does not reflect the attitude and the closeness of the group. SYF is not a proper gauge of your abilities. Even if other schools may get gwh, they may not have the family-like closeness of DHSCS Wudao. They may not have put in as much hardwork, or have had as much dedication.

You must remember that although the performance and competition is important, it is not all there is to dance. To dance, to express. Rejoice in the fact that SYF has brought all of you closer together, and given all of you the opportunity to laugh, cry, sweat and toil together. Be grateful for this opportunity you have been given.

Do remember the experiences that you have had, and don't forget them. Experiences like these don't come twice. SYF was a milestone that all of you have crossed together, as wudao. Treasure these times together, and treasure all the bonds that have been formed. This is the most important thing of all to remember. No matter what you girls have gotten, you deserved it and more. In all our hearts, we will remember that DHSCS Wudao, is a group worthy of gold with honours, and probably even more.

Hey dears, after working so hard for so long, SYF is over! haha someone actually said a 7 min dance was like a 1 min thing! GOOD JOB BEANS! So proud of all of you! believe many of you were really touched when we finally ended the dance and even cried! No matter what the end result is, we know we've all already done our best! We never GOU CHOU! YAY! And pipa and rest of the people well done! This could not be accomplished without everyone working together. I know I've been pushing you all real hard all these while. Sorry for being mean and scolding you all most of the time. I know I really got some attitude problem and am really harsh on you all. haha. SORRY! Many things I wanna say, many people I wanna thank and lastly, of course every single one of you, plus the helpers, Jia Yu, Si Qi, Meng Wei, Kai Meng, and Tian Li. Of course the teachers! Be it teacher in charge or dance instructors, Cherise and Michelle for doing lighting! All these would not have happened with the absence of anyone of the above.Hope we've really bonded all these while. The upcoming events will be SPEECH DAY and QING CHUN! after that the new leaders will step up soon. Gonna miss you kids! Dance like no one's watching, dance like there's no tomorrow, DANCE LIKE IT'S THE LAST TIME YOU WILL EVER BE PERFORMING! We know we can do it. Don't let fear get the better of us. We can be nervous, but we must have something called the DANCERS COMPOSURE, performing at our peak even if we are feeling nervous. REMEMBER? PEAK AT THE RIGHT TIME:D

TOMORROW'S THE TIME! Stay cool, calm, remember our 表情，眼神，三道湾。( Is it written like this? ) haha. Remember the times we fell, we cried, we smiled, we failed, we were corrected, all these just for the 7 minutes. We'll not have any regrets! JUST DO YOUR BEST!

Someone once told me, why do dancers feel afraid? What's there to be afraid of? Being afraid just proves that there is insufficient practice. Well, I disagreed initially but look further, all these DO make sense. We have worked so hard, countless number of practices! There's nothing to be afraid of, Wang Lao Shi, Serene Jie Jie, Zheng Lao Shi, everyone will be there with us. The people who've given us much strength and support all these time, the only way we can repay them is by showing them our sincerity, that we will perform this dance to the best of our abilities! WE CAN DO IT!

4 Days:)

Hey peeps, it's 4 days left to SYF le. Many things have been said, be it words of encouragement or actions to be corrected. Seeing all the other groups get their results, I believe everyone is really nervous now. Just wanna tell you girls, we have come so far, have gained the support of many, Wang Lao Shi, Serene Jie Jie, Zheng Lao Shi, seniors and Lu Lao Shis.. We're left with four days, but it's never too late to think about stuff and amend it before we regret. I hope we shine on stage, give our best and come down with smiles on our faces. I know we can do it, and I believe in every single one of you. Many are rooting for us, because they too, believe in us. Now, the most important thing is believing in yourselves. I hope 4 days from now, will be our BEST dun huang meng huan ever, BEST SMILES, BEST PERFORMANCE and only laughters, no cries. We must not let those who have helped us in one way or another down. In these 4 days, it's gonna be tough, hang on, we're all in this together! I BELIEVE IN YOU ALL, HOPE YOU ALL BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES TOO! GO DHS WUDAO!

to my dearest juniors,

i don't think i need to remind you guys how fast your syf is coming! it is evident that you guys have put in ALOT of effort and hard work, because i see the RESULTS. The actions, the poses, the feel, the smile... especially the smile! i can tell the sincerity of the smile from your eyes (so be sincere lol). however i am most glad with the ATTITUDE that you all have now, for the sake of SYF. Bearing with the tough practices, helping out each other, encouraging each other... there's the sweat, and there's the tears for some of you. but you have been strong. I am sure the process of practising for SYF have made you all bonded much much more.

many of yall seems to be unconfident of how you all do for feitian (i dont like to call it dunhuang haha), or how feitian is like overall. don't be! i enjoy your feitian very much. as an audience i feel... 'wow'. it is visually appealing needless to say, but when all of you are so into the dance, it is a different, an even better, feeling. i m very proud of what all of you have achieved. in my heart, feitian is GOLD WITH HONOURS >.< this is really how i feel, not just a statement to boost morale (of course i hope it boost morale too hee XD)

don't really know how to help, but i guess i can give some advice...

when in group, focus on synchronization (as i learnt in senior high dance). be conscious of the person in the front of your view. even when she is too fast/too slow, just follow.

during the actual judging performance, carry out your dance steps as you normally do during practices. if you decide to change some steps, it may affect OTHER dancers. for example, you may cut into their position or bang into them.

for the chou people, i will pray and pray for you guys not to t***** your chou that day! >.<>
to everyone, rest well for the big day!!!

we (yr 5s) may not be able to accompany you guys to UCC during the actual day (zheng laoshi dont want give us leave form!) but we will be morally supporting you guys =] definitely.

We've been working hard and it has been tough all these while when I had to ask you all to do actions over and over again for DIAO-ING . But last friday's diaoing session was really good. I'm really proud of you girls! There's really a great improvement and hope everyone will keep the standard up and do even better for SYF. this year, it was an eyeopener. i see people who cant do a handstand hitting themselves against the wall LOL pple crowding around one person to instruct on how to do a handstand. people swinging their arms all the way to the mrt despite the fact that it will embarass their seniors. people talking about dance almost everyday if u notice. people prying their legs open or wadever even though it hurts lyk hell. people flipping about both unsuccessfully and succesfully but still, flipping. and rmb, those are not ordinary people. those are us, DANCERS

kay. i have to admit sth and i hope u all dun hate me for it :p haha! as i've told some of u... dere's this day when i couldnt do feitian cos of the night cycling incident right? i stood at a side watching u all dance and erm..i suddenly become very dizzy. im not joking! as in, really quite messy so i became dizzy. i said sth lyk, we havent even reach bronze. but somehow, sth tells me that gold with honours is still possible :D but first, lets go step by step. silver, gold den finally our dream :)

this is my 2nd syf in my sec sch life. i still rmb my 1st syf very clearly. we didnt start off being lyk super coordinated or anything k. it was everyone's effort. it's true dat we didnt have enough practices. so when sch reopens, we must pia doubly hard! so now, we must all think positively :]

all of u all have potential. i cant even do a split when i was sec one! but k, dun talk about me. life example, i rmb how pearl cant too. but see with ur big or small eyes. look at how much she've improved. and its not only her. it's YOU too. you okay? u. u. u. hahahaha so wadever it is, we must continue to work hard. and work SMART (which means to absorb the comments laoshi giv us quickly).

okay i will end with this widely used quote. but yet, motivates me still (: and yes, only dancers will feel so strongly for this quote.

Hello BEANS:D It has only been the first week of hols, but our practices are still on going. I know everyone has worked very hard this week and I feel very glad as I have seen a great improvement in everyone, be in in Jibengong or in Dance. Everyone is really aching in every single muscle of their body and it is a good sign, that everyone is working hard during practices. SYF's next year, I believe everyone feels the stress and is working very hard. I'm very happy to see everyone improving and I really hope we will continue to work hard to maintain this. Be it in response or in working hard for jibengong, I believe there is much room for improvement. EVERYONE JIA YOU! I'm really proud of all of you and thank all of you for working so hard and cooperating all these while! I'm really very touched. KEEP IT UP! Performance at RI:D

Hello all lovers of dance! Sorry for posting this so late! But just wanna tell you girls, WELL DONE for the RI performance. Really glad we proved what we can do and most impostantly, gained recognition from guest-of-honour etc. You girls were really great! Maybe saying alone doesn't mean anything, pictures below will show all! A BIG THANKS to Zheng Lao shi for bringing us around and taking nice pictures. First practice:D

YAY.There's pactice this Friday. Please NOTE! Friday practice for Teacher's Day Dance by Liang Lao Shi. Not doing fei tian. Please be in the hall by 2.30 pm. Secondly, we'll be performing in some Asean conference on 15 July. We'll be doing fei tian. i know its hard on everybody, we have practices almost everyday. the teachers are stressed because theres not much time left, so please try to understand them too yea. And many people are falling sick, so everybody must take care! Everybody can see that you guys are trying your best and your effort and hard work really shows. i know the practices are reallyreally very tiring and theres hardly any time to rest. especially those dancing all 3 items who had to practice for so many hours on saturday. thanks for dancing to your fullest and not complaining even when you all are so tired and the sec 2s who sacrificed time at their fair to come for dance practice. Thank you to the CNY dancers for performing yesterday and giving up time with your class, and Weijia for helping us out alot, especially all the saikang jobs :/ hahaha! :D Our dance was nice, though still messy and quite a number of errors here and there, but at least it looked good in the video XD

Qingchun's coming in less than a month's time, so we really need you all to cooperate well so that everything can run on smoothly and the audience will enjoy our dances! So, remember to smileeee widely and dance with all your heart ok. We must display the real meaning of dance ya (:

WELL DONE PEOPLE. HAPPY EARLY YOUTH DAY!! (:

temasek sec sch pfm is set as qiu2 jin4 and wan4 shan1 dances. i noe many of u are interested in dancing syf dance one last time. but sometimes it'd jst go on and on without a final "last time". a good dance need not be performed many many times. one single time, as long as it can leave a good impression on the audience, its successful. so instead of thinking "last time", why not look at it in another perspective.

ive heard from the organising committee of youth day that they hope that we can try to modify some steps of the syf dance so that we wont be always showing the same dance whereby the audience no longer see anymore "excitement" LOL.

but since, we've ony performed this particular dance fer speech day and qingchun. meaning not the whole sch has viewed this dance before, i think it's ok that we keep to OUR OWN dance. no changes made. wad do uall think? afterall. theres stiu pple who hasnt seen this dance before. so its ok. and we're the ones dancing. if we're ok wif it, ITS OK! ehh yea?

need uall de suggestions as well. one more thing. the rehearsal is on the first day of sch. performance on fri. so in fact theres no chance fer us to really do modifications to the dance. well the dance is nice. so lets hope that those who've watched the syf dance before would hve the mindset of "赚到咯!" instead of SIAN. haha lol.

this is the 1st time i'm blogging here. in case you guys didn't know, this is joylynn fzz of wudao(:
hope we will all continue putting our best in wudao and co-operate with each other. 请大家多多指教! all of us: ningli,xuke,wanbo and me will try our best to lead wudao to greater heights!
and just to inform all of you guys, there will be wudao practices during june holidays on the 20,21,22 of june. it will be held at toa payoh( huay guan). the timing is yet to be confirmed, will inform you guys asap. hope you guys can keep those days free and those who cannot come on any of the days, please inform any of the wudao comm ppl asap.

裙子过长应该不会是太大的问题吧,适应一下就可以了.现在你们应该对你们的动作和位子很熟悉了,再在脸上添个灿烂的笑容ok!

男生啊，这是你们好好表现的（唯一）机会，看得出你们都在很卖力地训练了，但记得别老是看其他人的动作，一定要对自己有信心，在台上时的自己是很享受的。加油！

让我也用华文来 blog 吧，哈哈。

舞蹈 blog 似乎静了一些，syf 过后舞蹈员的心情应该还有些空虚吧，但我们现在又得再向另一个目标迈进，需要的就是大家的合作。还有那么多动作都还不熟练，时间也实在太紧了，一个星期 level camp，过后就只剩一个星期把剩余的两支舞蹈练好，水准要高可能还得更拼了。

不知道大家对青春所抱有的期望是怎样的，高吗？

我还蛮期待青春旋律演出的那一天，同样熟悉的面孔即将在后台和舞台上出现，同样地抱着如 syf 当天一样的积极在舞蹈上摆起舞姿。对中四的我来说，就更有意义了。最后一次在舞台上为中文学会作出那么一点点贡献。不能出差错，一定要把最好的展现给在场的每一个观众，压力。

level camp 一定要尽情地 relax，准备好回来以后的训练哦！

fortunately our syf dance is more or less done.
well. syf is reali less than a month left.
i stiu dun hve the exact date.
but would definitely keep uall informed once i hve it.

through this period.
i can feel tat evryone is reali working vehh hard.

it was exactly one month ago tat we last posted an entry.
sories this shall be PICTURE-LESS. haha.

we're gna shift campus to mt sinai nxt yr.
omg how inconvenient and evrything wud be rahh.
well i do hope we'd hve lotsa fun there.
and tat includes lotsa dance practices,
fer syf, qingchun and other sch pfms.

we'd be holding our vehh first huodong.
WENYIYING at mt sinai on the second day too.
